Marie E. Brenner, 77, of Marine City, entered into Eternal Life on Monday, July 9, 2012. She was born in Bohemia on February 22, 1935, a daughter to the late Rudolf and Albine (Lehrer) Langhammer. She married Carl John Brenner on October 26, 1957 in St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1995.

Marie was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City. She enjoyed knitting and watching the freighters on the St. Clair River.

Mrs. Brenner is survived by her sons, John (Marion) of Marine City and James (Joyce) of East China; her granddaughter, Valerie Brenner of Washington Twp.; grandson, James Childs of Caseville; sisters, Herta Langhammer of Germany and Erika (William) LeRoy and Ingeborg Apitz of Wisconsin; nieces, Karin Langhammer and Lisa LeRoy; and her nephew, Robert LeRoy.

Services will take place on Thursday at 11 A.M. in St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City, with Pastor Troy G. Waite officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City.

Marie’s family will welcome visitors in the Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City, on Wednesday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. and in the church on Thursday 10 – 11 A.M.
